Hi there, welcome to my site!

I am a Game Designer and Producer with a background in UX Research. Who believes that design should be intuitive and user-friendly. I enjoy seeing how people interact with a system and finding ways to improve that. Having made games I know that nothing feels better than seeing people enjoy something you created. When designing a game I try to focus on clarity, satisfaction, and counter play.

I have spent most my life in Utah with close friends. We would play games and started creating our own at 10. Right away I started to see how rules or ideas might not be as clear as we had intended. This led me to really focus on design and making sure the desired intent came across.

To me, the best feeling comes from bringing joy to others. This is why I love design, particularly creating games where the person playing is there to have fun. Because of this, I am a huge fan of comedy (who isn't though?), making people laugh and smile while causing someone to think deeper about a subject is what I strive to do.

At this point, it should be clear that I am a big fan of creating games, so it might not be a huge surprise that I play games too. While I do enjoy single player story driven games, my real passion comes from being part of a team with everyone working towards the same goal. From Halo LAN parties growing up to League of Legends with friends being part of a team all working together is what I love.

Outside of the digital space I play several board games with friends, and am even working on a few of my own. I enjoy watching writing and watching stand up, and being lazy around the house with my dogs and cats. Iā€™m trying to be a bit more physically active, and BeatSaber has been a big help with that.

I am a bit of an entertainer, either though comedy, shoutcasting, making games, to how I pitch ideas. I particularly enjoy jokes, and games with a bit of truth that cause you to lose sleep and stick with you. This is why I find making games to be a noble pursuit, getting to have an impact on people while entertaining them just feels amazing.

2020 Goals:

Try my hand at stand up comedy.

Improve C++ skills.

Get more familiar with Unreal.
